Event description

Description

What would a clever Corbyn economic strategy look like? What are the possibilities? What are the dangers?

What is 'the new economics' and what does it offer us? Can it help us avoid another financial crisis?

How come the magic money tree bears fruit for some and not others?

We will attempt to ask and answer all these questions and more on 4 July. Come and listen to two of London’s most engaging and inspiring public interest economists discuss their practical proposals to make our economy work better for all of us.

After the 2007 crash, the Queen famously asked: “why did nobody see it coming?”. Both Professor Steve Keen and Ann Pettifor had seen it coming, and Ann had written and published the book The Coming First World Debt Crisis.

Now Steve has a new book out for a lay audience, Can we avoid another financial crisis? and Ann has written The Production of Money: How to Break the Power of Bankers.
