Description

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) has been created to harmonise data protection laws in the EU. This is the biggest shake-up of data protection laws for 20 years and will impose new obligations on UK businesses.

We are running a seminar on Thursday 22nd March 2018 at Eagle House Hotel, Launceston from 4.30pm until 6pm to help businesses unravel the complex issues surrounding these changes.

The GDPR imposes new rules on companies, agencies and other organisations that offer goods and services to citizens of the EU. All businesses wishing to offer goods and services to citizens in the EU must comply, and these regulations will still apply post-Brexit.

The goal of GDPR is to give citizens back control of their personal data. As the changes come into effect from the 25th May 2018 there is a limited window to ensure your business is compliant.

If you are found to be breaching the new data laws, the maximum fine is 20 million euros or 4% of turnover, whichever is greater.

WBW Solicitors want to help you and your business to understand what these changes are and how they will apply to your company.

We shall cover how GDPR will affect how your business operates and what you can do now to ensure your business is compliant. The seminar will focus on a number of key areas, such as;

  • How you hold customer data

  • Privacy Policies

  • Terms & Conditions

  • Employee Data

  • Unsuccessful Job Applicants’ Data

  • Ex-Employees Data

  • Marketing Data

Tea & coffee will be provided, the event is FREE to attend however there are a limited number of spaces so book now to avoid disappointment.

We look forward to seeing you there.
