About this event

Mary Torney, who has a Private Practice and is an Accredited Clinical Supervisor will bring to us a Workshop full of interesting and challenging ideas.

She is very passionate about her work both as a Supervisor and Psychotherapist. She will talk about the ‘pitfalls’ when we carry a positive – in itself- a quality too far. That quality of Loyalty then becomes secrecy or collusion,

She will also explore the area of giving and receiving feedback and self-exploration as a very important part of supervision – from each chair, e.g., how to use feedback from supervision well and how to give feedback also.

She will look at how we judge people maybe from first sight. Those we feel comfortable with and those with who we may feel less comfortable with. How might we link these ‘qualities’ and can we see them in the clients we find easy or identify with. How does this impact our connection to clients.

Mary will look at the Core Qualities from Michael Carroll’s book ‘On Becoming a Supervisee’
