Event description
Scottish Recovery Network invites you to join us for a discussion about the future of peer support in Scotland.

About this Event

This is one of two opportunities to discuss the future of lived experience and peer support in mental health policy, services and community focused support.

  • How can we make sure lived experience sits at the heart of policy development and service design?
  • Is peer support a day-to-day part of mental health services and supports? What examples of good practice can we build on?

Learning from the discussions will compliment our ‘What next for mental health recovery?’ sessions. It will feed into a wider programme of engagement activities to inform a future vision and strategy for mental health recovery in Scotland.

How it will work

We want to make sure we are engaging with people from all over Scotland and from different walks of life: people, communities, services and organisations. By submitting this Eventbrite form you are registering your interest in taking part.

There will be a limit of twelve participants at each session so we can have good conversations where everyone has space to talk. Each discussion will run from 2pm until 3.30pm and be facilitated by the Scottish Recovery Network.

We will contact you mid October to let you know if you have a place. For those we are unable to offer a place to, there will be other opportunities to get involved and give your views.

Please do not register for more than one What’s next for peer support in Scotland? session.

Online security & wellbeing

We will be using video conferencing tool Zoom for the discussions. Your online security & wellbeing is our upmost priority so we will send out instructions on how to access and use this tool safely before each session. We will also be providing top tips for wellbeing to use after the discussions.

If you would like to take part in the discussion on Zoom using only audio rather than video we can accommodate this if you let us know once you have received confirmation of your place by email.

Accessibility

Scottish Recovery Network supports #CommunicationForAll and we are working towards being fully inclusive. We are running a BSL version of this session on Wednesday 4 November.

If you have any additional needs please let us know and we will do our very best to accommodate these. If you have any further question please contact: 0141 240 7790 or info@scottishrecovery.net
