Abstract: The field of Computer Assisted Qualitative Data AnalysiS (CAQDAS) is not new, but discussion about the role and implications of the development and use of digital tools in the process has received renewed and more urgent attention since generative AI came on the scene. This webinar provides an up-to-date overview of where we are at in this space and what it means - now and moving forwards- for the field. It also serves as an introduction to the series of webinars hosted by the CAQDAS Networking Project titled "Navigating AI in Qualitative Research" in which invited scholars share their experiences and perspectives on this rapidly evolving space.
