What's Your Story?

A six week creative writing course to help you transform your lived experiences into creative non-fiction, short stories and poetry. Writers of all levels and genres welcome.

Starts Thursday 16th April 7-8:30pm

Do you have stories you want to share? Memories you'd like to put down on the page? Personal experiences that deserve to be aired?

In this course you'll work closely with a group of like-minded writers to turn events from your life into stories (true or transmuted into fiction) on the page. You'll be offered prompts to spark memories and ideas, guidance to help you craft your work and a safe space where you can share your writing with others.

Using experiences from real life as the basis for your writing, you'll end up with a collection of stories, poems or personal essays that you can share with family, friends or the wider world, should you wish to publish.

Your facilitator for the course is Alison Powell, a writer, teacher and coach with more than 20 years' experience of helping writers achieve their goals. Alison has an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa and has won awards and recognition for her own writing. Her approach is positive, supportive, and fun - she’ll make you feel at ease and inspired.
