Event description

Description

See history come to life. Visit our World War One historical festival on 21-22 September 2019, 10:00-16:30, at Wheaton Aston, Staffordshire

Step back in time 100 years

Discover how cavalrymen and horses, the Army, Nurses and Suffragettes lived during that time. Cheer them all on as they are joined by school children, a choir and a pipe and drum band marching in a parade. Watch events in the arena and see interactive displays as you walk among living history.

See what life was like at the end of WW1

Bring all the family to see Lancers demonstrating their horsemanship, regiments of Soldiers drilling and performing manoeuvres, Nurses tending to the sick, Suffragettes with self defence techniques and a Pipe and Drum Band. Choose a team and cheer for them in the Village Games where they compete for the honour of their farms and villages!

Immerse yourself in a time gone by

Wander around the camp, see equipment, kit, weaponry, medical supplies, field kitchen, livery, regalia, uniforms and the people that used them all, find out what it all did, how it all worked and why it helped us win the war.

Come be a part of our heritage

Note - Parade and Village Games are on Saturday 21st only
