Event description

Description

What's it about?

What happens when you are in debt and the sheer stress means you struggle to cope? What happens when you are unable to cope and you can't manage your mental and emotional health let alone anything else, like money, bills, work and family? And so the circle continues.

Talking Money believes that this circle needs to be broken and that the negative relationship between money and mental health is on a concerning rise.

What will happen?

We are hosting a must see panel discussion and Q&A with Marvin Rees (Mayor of Bristol), Dr Maria Barnes (Senior Research Associate, Suicide Intervention Programme), Sim Ilyas (Client Service Manager, Aperture IVA Debt Management) and others. We will be seeking ways to protect those who are vulnerable because of debt and money worries and invite you to join us!

Not only do we wish to spark debate and ideas, we are inviting influencers, policy makers and leaders to unite in making a change. It will be a fantastic opportunity to network, create partnerships and consider ways we can make Bristol more inclusive and resilient.

Programme

  • Arrival 5pm

  • Introduction 5.30pm

  • Panel discussion 5.40pm

  • Q&A 6.10pm

  • Networking, exhibitors and canapes 6.45pm
