Event description
Revelation or manipulation...? Fellow Interintellect Olena Bulygina explores to what degree is the adage "the camera does not lie" true

About this Event

"Photography moves, engages and inspires us. It creates, steals and stores reality.

Be it Ansel Adams or Robert Capa, photographs have long become symbols of power. Yet it was not always like this. The early years of photography were loud with debate over the medium's artistic merit.

When did this desire to fix (and glorify) memory — along with the means to manipulate it — start? Was early photography free from editing, or was it a lie all along?

Join this Salon for an evening of magic in erasing age, revising history, changing reality, and raising the dead!" - Salon host Olena Bulygina
