Event description

Description

When Plants Dream co-author Daniel Pinchbeck will explore the reasons for ayahuasca's growing global popularity, considering many facets of this extraordinary plant medicine that comes from the Amazon rainforest, We will consider the history, mythology, origins, discovery and ongoing dispersion of ayahuasca. We will look at what we are discovering about its benefits for mental and physical health.

We will also consider the transformative influence it has on many people's beliefs, including the spiritual, psychic and religious dimensions of the experience. And we will explore the future of ayahuasca at a time of ecological peril and rampant Amazonian deforestation.
