“When Story Speaks: Meeting the Unconscious Through Fiction”

October 6, 2025

19:00 London Time

Online, via Zoom (Free Event)

A live conversation with author Bea Gonzalez on fiction as a tool for self-exploration. We will look at how characters, images, and plots surface what is unconscious. We will follow what shows up on the page to name our “unresolved chords”. No instruction. No techniques. Just an inquiry into how story helps us meet what we have not yet faced.

About Bea: Béa Gonzalez is a Spanish-born, Toronto-based novelist and educator with an M.A. in History and Literature from King’s College London. She is the author of The Bitter Taste of Time and The Mapmaker’s Opera, with editions in seven countries. Her Mapmaker’s Opera was adapted into a musical featured at the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival. She is the founder of SophiaCycles, a project teaching metaphorical thinking through myth and depth psychology. She has been a seminar leader and invited lecturer at Sheridan College, York University, the Walrus Foundation, Classical Pursuits and the JungArchademy. Her latest novel is Invocation.
