Course Summary

People react to traumatic events in different ways but it is usual to experience, distress, anxiety, wakefulness, fear, loss of appetite and many other feelings. For some people they will settle in time, but for others there is a pervasiveness that continues to haunt us until we get some help. Recently people have become much more ’trauma informed’ and teachers, counsellors and a range of therapists can offer intervention for PTSD (Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder). There is also a range of therapies including CBT, Counselling, Play Therapy, and Arts Therapies.

NDP includes some of the techniques of Professor Mooli Lahad, well known for his publications and international training programmes on trauma, as well as attachment-based play, construction ‘putting everything back together’, enactment and stories.

This webinar includes an illustrated presentation and practical workshop for people to acquire take-away skills to apply in their own work.
