Event description

Description

The Chartered College of Teaching (CCT), in collaboration with OTSA and the Oxford Education Deanery, is delighted to host a twilight session with Professor Jane Mallenby from the University of Oxford.

With a wealth of experience working with schools and Universities, Jane will explore what research has to offer classroom practitioners by considering "What is evidence?" and using specific examples of where there is / is not good evidence to support educational change. Jane will also touch on elements of her book, Education and Learning: An Evidence-based Approach.

As an experienced researcher who has worked alongside schools for many years, Jane will challenge, engage and inform teachers about an evidence-informed practice and why it may be the best way forward for our profession.

Cost:

  • Free to Chartered College Members

  • Student teachers can join CCT free of charge here

  • Teachers can join CCT here for £45

Refreshments from 4pm for a 4.30pm start.
