Where to next for Psychologically Informed Environments?
Wed 26 October 2016, 15:00 – 17:00 BST
The idea of a PIE, with 5 or 6 key principles as a framework or broad definition, seems now well established, and is spreading. But five years on from the first use of the term, it may be time to revisit some of this development.
How well has the original conception of a PIE stood the test of time? How does it all fit with other new ideas, such as Housing First, Pretreatment, system change, and Trauma Informed Care. How do they all fit together? What research is there, and how do we evaluate a PIE? How do we even define a PIE, for research purposes or for commissioning? And where are we going now?
In this "PIEs Masterclass", Robin Johnson will be discussing such issues, and give an update on current developments, in the UK and elsewhere.
NB: this workshop is not intended as an introductory session. Some basic awareness of the PIEs framework will be assumed. For a minimum, we suggest "A Handy Guide to Becoming a PIE", and the September essy, "Memes: a cautionary tale, Part One: the PIE" - both available, with other material, on the PIElink.
