Event description

Description

Where's Your Safe Place?

This 5 week movement and art workshop provides a short break for self-reflection. We will investigate our behavioural stress patterns and their effects, using dance as the main medium.

This programme offers the participant a self-reflective moment to identify and reduce stress triggers. Over five sessions, you will find a safe space to explore how we get stuck in our habits, and how to break them. Movement is explored through guided improvisation, using everyday materials to stimulate creative response to weekly questions.

Calm movement is at the heart, and the focus is on the process not the product. There will be simple movement exercises and guided improvisation. We will warm up connecting with the breath and the body. We will move through short physical sequences to find swing and flow. We will use creative movement to find answers to various questions around Where's Your Safe Place?

WORKSHOP PRICE INCLUDES:

  • Basic Materials, including diary booklet

  • Accessible contemporary dance movement to feel body confident

  • Guided improvisation for personal self expression

  • Small working groups only, in English
