Description

Coram and the National Youth Theatre, in partnership with the Mayor of London's Peer Outreach Team, invite you to an evening performance as part of Refugee Week of

Wherever I Lay My Head

Written by Jamila Gavin and Directed by Andrew Whyment

Join us to witness and discuss the experience of children seeking refuge in this country, their need simply to ‘sleep’ and what we can do in the future to improve their overall well-being and integration.

For children and young people that suffer separation and loss from all that is familiar, sleep is often difficult to come by. It is one of the first things to prioritise to help them feel calmed and settled in what may be a very strange place.

This evening performance celebrates Refugee Week and the 350th birthday of Thomas Coram, founder of Coram.

The event will showcase The Stranger Series photography exhibition by Coram’s Young Citizens and Arteh Odjidja.

The play will be followed by a panel discussion, including Good Chance Theatre.
