Whinstone Ridge Rocks Guided Walk
Wed 12 July 2017, 10:00 – 13:00 BST
Part of the North York Moors National Park’s Guided Walks Programme. Les and Margie Atkinson lead you across moorland on a 6-mile walk to Goathland Railway Station and along by the line to picturesque Darnholm, before climbing to dramatic Whinstone Ridge.
Hear about the history of the ridge, its associated quarries and another little-known feature. Steep, strenuous sections. Packed lunch required.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Sorry, no dogs. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Our guided walks are free, although a suggested donation of £2 is welcome, helping us to care for the National Park.
Booking essential. For more information call 01439 772738.
