Ever wanted to speak directly to a distiller? Or someone that has founded a distillery? To ask questions about how whisky is made or why they do things in a certain way? Well, we are delighted to be giving you the opportunity to do just that.

We will be joined by Miika Lipiäinen from the award-winning Kyrö Distillery Company in Finland for our second Meet The Distiller evening. He is the CEO and one of the five co-founders, and the man holding the sheep in the photo.

We will learn about what makes Kyrö different on the craft distilling scene and how their philosophy is shaking up the whisky world. We will sample some of their range of superb whiskies. Miika will also talk about the distillery and the workings of it and the brand.

The tasting will take place at the wonderful Haverstock Tavern. This is on Haverstock Hill NW3 and is five minutes walk from Chalk Farm underground station (Northern Line / Edgware branch).

The tasting will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Please feel free to arrive early for a pre-tasting drink or bite to eat. They have a great selection of craft beers and a good wine list, along with a tapas-style menu on the evening.

No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest.

The group will be limited even though national Covid restrictions have been lifted. This is to protect our guests, our host's staff and the presenter.

Hand sanitiser will be provided.

All guests are asked to Drink Responsibly. Sample bottles will be provided should you wish to save your whisky to enjoy later at home.
