Imperial’s first student-led installation challenge driving synergy between art and science. The 2022 Sculpture Challenge provides a chance for bright and diverse minds to collaborate and bring their vision to reality on the White City campus.
Commencing on Saturday 21st January with a kick off event and concluding on Sunday 20th February, when the final winners will be announced, the Challenge is to create an original work which will become a permanent installation.
This is your chance to apply your talents and shape the artistic landscape of Imperial College…so sign up and submit your application by January 3rd to join our cross-disciplinary team. We are looking for 25 skilled and motivated bright sparks to make up 5 teams of 5 who are ready to make something amazing happen!
Throughout the Challenge month, teams will have access to all the facillities at the White City Advanced Hackspace which includes 3D Printers, Laser Cutting and traditional manufacturing techniques.
We’ve assembled an eminent panel of judges including award winning artists, designers, academics, and commentators, and we are offering £1000 in prize money donated by the Imperial President’s Community Fund.
