The State of Primary Science report (Primary Science Teaching Trust, 2025) revealed that teacher confidence in science, including that of subject leaders, is falling. It also called for greater support and collaboration for those leading science in schools. 

That’s why we’re excited to launch our brand-new White Rose Science Subject Leader Meet-Up Series; an opportunity for primary science leaders to connect, share ideas, and gain expert guidance in a supportive, collaborative environment. 

We’re excited to announce the second White Rose Science Subject Leader Meet-Up - an opportunity for primary science leaders to connect, share ideas, and gain expert guidance in a supportive, collaborative environment. 

The agenda will be confirmed nearer the time, but this session is likely to include: 

• Exploring approaches to assessment in primary science 

• The opportunity to trial new White Rose assessment resources and share your feedback 

• Unpicking the curriculum review and discussing what it means for you, your school, and your teaching practice 

This session is also available online on Tuesday 28th April, 3.45pm – 4.45pm.
