Whitefields 2017 | Glorious Rhythms
Fri, 19 May 2017, 19:00 – Sat, 20 May 2017, 20:00 BST
A Glorious Rhythm
Listen in - there is a sound, the soft beating of a drum in the background of our lives. Listen for the perpetual heartbeat, soundtracking our everyday. A repetition driving what we do, never forcing itself upon us but consistently spurring us on. An unforced rhythm called grace.
“...Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace...Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-30
We often forget how easy it is to step out of time, to add weight to our own burden. This is your time to lean in, to listen and to learn these unforced rhythms once again. Get swept up the fresh bass drum of the rhythm of heaven, you will leave refreshed and re-invigorated.
See you there.
James leads the large multi-site church, Calvary Christian Church in Australia. He is also on the State and National Board for the Australian Christian Churches and President of Calvary Leadership College which has trained hundreds of people for ministry. James is well known for preaching that combines humor and sharp observation on the human condition.
James has a keen insight into the Word of God and we’re excited to have him as our main speaker this year as he will encourage and lift you to new levels.
James Murray is one of the most gifted young speakers of this generation. Having grown up in C3 Oxford Falls under the leadership of Global pastors Phil and Chris Pringle, he then became associate pastor under Jurgen and Leanne Matthesius in C3 San Diego.
Along with his wife Alana, James now leads one of the most creative expressions of Church in Sydney; leading with both a truly unique voice and a cheeky sense of adventure. His affection for the presence of God and irreverence for 'Sacred Cows' will definitely set a tone for a brilliant conference.
Whitefields is the family conference of Hope City Church, one church all over the world - run by Pastors Dave and Jenny Gilpin.
