Organiser Whitleigh Big local

Organiser of Whitleigh Well Being Art Group

The Whitleigh Big Local Partnership, which is made up of local residents and supportive organisations working together to make Whitleigh a Better place to live, work and play. We do this by providing residents with the tools and training to do things for themselves, supporting initiatives and ideas that have come from the community, helping people to create collaborative, caring supportive community. Our priorities are: Improving the health and well-being of whitleigh through; *Increasing involvement of local residents in local activities and groups.

*Improving our parks, play areas and green spaces by encouraging positive use of our greens spaces and improving our play areas.

*through raising awareness of environmental issues and supporting healthy use of outdoor areas, such as our community allotment.

*By supporting older members of our community to come together and socialise and find activities to connect them with others in order to tackle isolation and loneliness.

*To provide community transport for local residents to support them to get out of the area and enjoy new environments and experiences.

*Supporting children and young people through a range of activities and opportunities to learn and have fun.
