Would you like to have a go at Whittling or making a Bow & Arrow at the nature reserve? Carve your own unique wooden object or bow and arrow to take home! You'll be shown how to use basic whittling tools safely before starting. You can opt for either a general whittling workshop or a bow & arrow workshop.

For the general whittling workshop option: Choose between whittling a wooden staff/walking stick, wand or knife.

For the bow and arrow workshop option: You'll create a simple bow and arrow from coppiced wood at the nature reserve and practise target archery at the end of the activity.

Once you have booked, please email us to confirm which workshop you would like to do.

Suitable for ages 7 upwards with at least one participating adult.

These workshops are private bookings (up to 4 or 6 participants depending on ticket), ideal for a family or group of friends.


Rates: £140 for up to 4 participants or £210 for up to 6 participants

Duration: Workshop lasts approx. 3 hrs.

Flexible dates - please enquire: This workshop can be booked for alternative dates anytime between April and November (Wednesdays or Saturdays, subject to availability).
