Event description

Description

This event is an introduction to the Identity-oriented Psychotrauma Therapy theory and practice developed by Professor Franz Ruppert of Munich University, Germany.

Vivian Broughton has been a close student of Franz Ruppert's work for the past eleven years, and is one of the foremost practitioners of the work in the world. Her practice and thinking is closely aligned to Ruppert's current thinking and latest developments.

Our identity, who we really are, is for many of us a mystery. It is increasingly understood that there are trauma experiences that occur pre-birth, during birth and immediately post birth that can have a lifelong effect on the person, and because they happen very early, pre-cognitive memory, we are often ignorant of their existence and their impact. Trauma causes a split to our identity, forcing us to accommodate and compromise ourselves from the earliest moments of our life in order to survive.

In the recently released film, In Utero, one of the presenters says: "all trauma is fetal trauma". What was meant by this is that all later experiences that we might consider traumatic are always, also, a re-stimulation of these earlier traumas. Unless we address the earlier events we cannot truly heal the later events.

The question then arises: how can we access such early experiences in a safe and productive way to enable such deep healing to take place? The Intention Method (the constellation of the Intention) provides us with a unique means of accessing the necessary unconscious information and experiences in a safe and sufficient way.

In this seminar Vivian will work with participants on their own intentions for their personal development, and discuss the underlying theories proposed.

This is as a learning event, and will be of interest to professionals who work with others, as well as those individuals wishing to explore personal issues.

Participants might find it useful to read Vivian's little book entitled Becoming Your True Self: a handbook for the journey from Trauma to Healthy Autonomy... Revised and Updated version... available through Amazon which gives a basic understanding of the theory involved.
