Who am I? - Understanding Identity and Trauma
2-DAY OPEN WORKSHOPS WITH VIVIAN BROUGHTON
These workshops are over two days, and are for anyone wishing to explore their deepest sense of who you are. We think we know who we are, but more often than not we don't, not really. Our identity is fragmented, entangled and confused, and we can live our whole not really knowing who we are.
The deepest and most defining trauma we can experience is what we now call the Trauma of Identity. This is a trauma that affects deeply who we are, and how we function in our life. It is a trauma that happens at the earliest time in our life, before we have any ability to make sense of our experience or even remember or know that it has happened.
It underlies our ability to be in healthy relationships, to succeed in life, be happy and healthy. Too often it can lead us into perpetrator-victim relationships in our partnerships, our friendships and at work, that in the end can destroy us. We end up becoming a perpetrator to ourselves, and to others. We may feel constantly victimised and undermined, and at a loss to understand why such things happen to us. All later traumatic events are always influenced by this earliest of traumas.
Working with the Intention Method we will explore these deeper issues at this workshop.
For more information about my work go to my website: www.vivianbroughton.com.
There are 10 guaranteed working places on these workshops, and if there is time after that there will be a ballot for further opportunities to do a personal exploration. If participants take up this opportunity they will be required to pay the extra £50.
Please be aware that these workshops may involve emotional experiences as the topic is the exploration of personal trauma.
If you are new to this work you might like to read some of the posts on my blog, perhaps starting with An Introduction to the Theory of Multi-Generational Psycho-Traumatology, or one of the books by Franz Ruppert (the originator of this theory and work) or myself. A good starting book is Becoming Your True Self by me.
You can find out more information about me here.
All fees must be paid in full on application. It is not possible to have a fee reduction if only part of the workshop is attended. If you have any difficulty with payment please get in touch with me, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Full refund less 25% up until 2 weeks before the first day of the workshop. You can transfer to a later workshop at no cost up until 2 weeks before the first day of the workshop.
