Power, finance and democracy: Is the City good for London?

The economic power of The City impacts on the rest of London and beyond. But are the interests of The City also in the interests of London ? In the run-up to the Mayoral and Assembly elections, this event will ask whether it is London’s people or businesses who really hold power, and who should be the priority.

Mayoral candidates have been invited to answer questions about their relationship with the City with the help of Nicholas Shaxson, author of Treasure Islands, Tamasin Cave, founder of the Alliance for Lobbying Transparency, Chris Cummings, chief executive at CityUK, and Siobhan Kennedy, Business Correspondent at Channel 4 News.

Please come to the Great Hall, Bishopsgate Institute, Liverpool Street, on March 22nd at 6.30pm with your own questions.
