A curriculum for the 21st century - come and see how project based learning enables students to deepen and enhance learning!
We would like to invite parents, students and local primary schools to our Drama performance and REAL exhibition on Thursday 8 December 2016. Whether you would like to take advantage of this opportunity to find out more about REAL learning, see a fantastic Drama performance or if your children are wondering about life beyond primary school - this event will be for you!
REAL Projects connect deep subject content with real-world problem solving. Every term Wapping High School organises a REAL exhibition, to ensure that the project based learning has a real impact on students, since students take more pride in their work when exhibiting it to a public audience.
The REAL learning exhibition will include a wide range of exciting student projects:
- launch of a sustainability magazine
- tectonics demonstrations
- book launch
- student debates
- display of artwork about natural disasters
The STEAM students at WHS have been working hard with their new Chromebooks to enter into the new digital world of coding and Google Apps. They will display their coded websites in the exhibition.
The performance with the title 'The Amazing Adventures of Superstan' will be from 5.00-5.45pm and 6.15-7.00pm.
The event will be free of charge, but donations to support the work of the students would be greatly appreciated. All donations will directly go towards REAL Projects.
