Statistics show that apprenticeships help employers to grow their own talent, reduce staff turnover and give their business the skills it needs to succeed.

Accountants, solicitors, consultants and other business service and support professionals are well placed to support employers to better understand how apprenticeships can work for their business, so Cornwall Council and the Skills Hub are offering an apprenticeship event specifically aimed at intermediaries from all areas of business.

The workshop is aimed at developing the knowledge of staff in intermediaries to help them engage with employers on apprenticeship opportunities, the financial implications, business benefits and operational practice. It will also help business service professionals to better understand the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly’s Skills Hub offer and in turn aims to encourage sign-posting of clients to this free support.

The workshop will outline recent apprenticeship reform and programmes, funding including the levy & transfers, top things an employer needs to know about recruiting and managing an apprenticeships as well as information and links to key resources.
