Overview
Whether you come along for you or to gain understanding and techniques to support a loved one, this In Person workshop is for you if:
* You would like to understand how and why stress affects health, relationships and the ability to learn or do your job effectively and why it can make you behave in ways that just aren’t ‘you’.
* You’d like to understand anxiety, where it comes from and how it’s possible to overcome
* You or your loved one gets overwhelmed by things that happened in the past and you want to understand why these strong often debilitating feelings often overwhelm you.
If you would like to have some powerful tried and tested techniques at your fingertips to help you reduce feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, or stress and increase feelings of calm, focus and control then you will have the opportunity to try them out in a safe space in this workshop.
These techniques are safe to be used by adults and children and have been taught in a variety of highly stressful places including, prisons, refugee camps, first responder workplaces and to support people going though health crises and after traumatic events as well as in schools.
You will learn Self Havening, Trauma Tapping Technique, Stress reduction breathing techniques amongst others. If you have found mindfulness tricky in the past then these techniques will help you get to the stage where mindfulness can be achieved.
You will also learn how to overcome or help another person to overcome a panic attack, gently and rapidly.
