Explore how overlapping identities shape workplace experiences and learn practical ways to embed intersectionality into leadership and culture.
This session, hosted by CMI Scotland, will bring together expert speakers with lived and professional experience of embedding intersectionality into workplace practice, including global perspectives from international assignments.
Through open and honest discussion we will examine how overlapping aspects of identity such as race, gender, disability, sexuality and cultural background shape workplace experiences. The session will move beyond surface level diversity and provide practical tools for leaders and managers to create inclusive environments where whole identities are recognised.
By attending this event you will:
- Understand how single issue approaches to DEI fall short
- Gain insight into applying an intersectional lens to policies, leadership and culture
- Hear real world examples including experiences of working abroad to show how context can create new barriers and opportunities
- Have a safe facilitated space to ask questions and engage in meaningful dialogue about inclusion without fear
- Take away actionable steps to build a more inclusive and equitable workplace
