Mentoring is a developmental relationship focused on the needs of the Mentee, their development, unlocking their potential and supporting working life. In today’s busy environment, there can be too few opportunities to take time out to plan and put into practice personal development plans. There can be even less opportunity to do this with the support of a relevant leader and role model. Yet, research shows that having this opportunity is one of the critical components of successful personal and leadership development.
The objectives of this WIA workshop is to :
Explore the skills, qualities and behaviours necessary to become an effective mentor
Assess your own mentoring skills, qualities and behaviours and identify strengths and areas for improvements
Understand the nature of the mentoring relationship
Understand the roles and responsibilities of both mentor and mentee
The workshop has been developed by Noel McGonigle MBA , HR Director Savills UK and Europe, Human Resources and Criona Courtney, Manager, Performance Consultant HR , RBS in conjunction with Women in Agriculture.
