I am not part of the Widening Participation & Student Success Community of Practice - Can I attend?

Absolutely. Everyone who is a member of staff at UCL is welcome to join. We understand not everyone has time to be an official member of the Community of Practice,  but it doesn't mean we can't celebrate you and your work at UCL.

Question 2

I won't be there until after 6pm - Is this an issue?

Accepted Answer

We will be registering attendance until approximately 5.45pm. If you have a prior commitment and cannot attend until 6pm, that's absolutely fine. Please just be aware that we will try and seat everyone from around 5:50pm so you may be sat at the back.

Question 3

Will there be British Sign Language available?

Accepted Answer

Yes - we have booked two British Sign Language signers  to attend.

Question 4

I can't get childcare on the night of the awards - can I bring them along?

Accepted Answer

Yes - absolutely. Last year, we had someone who brought along their child and they were the real star of the show. We all got star stickers and it was fabulous.

Question 5

Are UCL students welcome?

Accepted Answer

While we'd love to have everyone attend, as we're at a limited capacity we will be prioritising UCL Staff and PhD students in the first instance. However, if you'd really like to come, please let us know and we'll consult with the awards committee.

Question 6

Is food/ drink available?

Accepted Answer

We'll be providing a small amount of food and drink, however, it'll be more of a snacks and nibbles vibe so please feel free to bring your own food too.
