About this event
Virtual Co-Production Workshops
Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND)
Co-production is about developing more equal partnerships between people who use services, carers and practitioners. It is a fundamental principle within the SEND Code of Practice and can help make the best use of resources, deliver better outcomes and build stronger communities.
To do co-production organisations need to make changes to their culture, structure and practice. Senior leaders in Wigan Council/CCG are committed to improving practice between teams and the children, young people with SEND and families that receive them and to embed co-production as a way of working across the system.
Training is open to parent carers, practitioners working in education, health and social care with children and young people with SEND who have a leadership role and elected members.
