My daughter came home RAVING about how brilliant the workshop was! She thoroughly loved it, and didn’t stop talking about it all day. Thank you for ensuring ALL children feel involved and engaged in science and technology. Well done and thank you from a very grateful mum! - Melanie, Brighton

Workshop Theme: Wild Animals! with Lego WeDo

Recommended Ages: 6-9. Students will be paired with a similarly-aged partner (or sibling/friend if requested).

Description: We'll be building and learning to program Wild Animal robots using Lego! Students will work in pairs to assemble robots using Lego Education WeDo robotics kits and then use the visual drag-and-drop software to bring them to life - moving and making sounds! We'll also be learning about motors, sensors, gears and pulleys. No previous experience required. Models built: Dancing Birds and Roaring Lion.

Other Details: Please note, students are unable to take the robotics kits home; parents are invited to come back 5-10 minutes before the end of the workshop to view the robots in action and take photos/videos before we pack up.

Venue/Transport: There is 1hr free parking outside the venue, and free street parking nearby. The 5A bus route has plenty of regular buses from the centre of town, and stops next door, outside the Co-op Supermarket in Old London Road.

About Us: Curiosity Hub provides creative tech workshops to support STEAM (Science, Engineering, Technology, Arts & Maths) education for all ages. Find out more at thecuriosityhub.com
