'Wild Animals' with Lego WeDo Robotics (6-9yrs) SOLD OUT!
Thu 27 October 2016, 10:00 – 12:00 BST
Workshop Theme: 'Wild Animals' with Lego WeDo Robotics!
Recommended Ages: 6-9. Students will be paired with a similarly-aged partner. Please contact us if you are unsure of suitability.
Description: We'll be building and learning to program Wild Animal robots (Hungry Alligator and Dancing Birds) using Lego® WeDo! Students will work in pairs to assemble robots using Lego® Education WeDo robotics kits and use the visual drag-and-drop software to instruct the robots to bring them to life - moving and making sounds! We'll also be learning about motors, sensors, gears and pulleys. No previous experience required.
Other Details: Please note, students are unable to take the robotics kits home; parents are invited to view the robots in action and take photos/videos before we pack up.
Transport: There is 1hr free parking outside the venue, and free street parking nearby. The 5A bus route has plenty of regular buses from the centre of town, and stops next door, outside the Co-op Supermarket in Old London Road.
