Event description
Mobilise your MP to take climate action! Join A Rocha UK and Hope for the Future for this practical campaign training.

About this Event

As a member of the Climate Coalition, A Rocha UK are keen to equip ARUK supporters to use their voices effectively as Christians, to press for faster government action on climate at local and national level. This is particularly critical in the next few months, at the beginning of a new government and the year in which the UK will host the COP26 international climate negotiations.

We are delighted to be offering training with Hope For The Future on Saturday 15 February 2020 to help you effectively communicate the climate emergency with politicians across the UK and encourage your MP to take tangible climate-related action.

This practical campaign training and activity will be our first offline Wild Christian event and will be a fantastic way to meet others from the Wild Christian community and learn together how to better ‘defend’ nature.

Wild Christian is an A Rocha UK project.

A Rocha UK (ARUK) is a Christian charity working for the protection and restoration of the natural world and committed to mobilising Christians and churches in the UK to care for the environment. Our main programmes – Wild Christian, Eco Church, Partners in Action – alongside our urban and rural nature reserves, aim to help Christians enjoy, nurture and protect nature as an everyday expression of their faith. This is our response to the biblical mandate to care for the earth, evermore important in a time of climate and species crisis.

Hope for the Future offers training and support to help you transform your elected representatives’ hearts and minds on climate change. http://www.hftf.org.uk/
