Event description
A 3 hour workshop with a foraging expert, offering your chance to make your very own wild cider to take home! Includes tasters!

About this event

Do you like a tall glass of scrumpy? Interested in foraging and reconnecting with nature? Maybe you've given home-brewing a go but had mixed results?

This is the event for you!

Join us for a 3 hour session of wild cider making, which includes foraging for wild apples, brewing from start to finish, tasters and the chance to take home your very own wild cider!

This course is designed to get you as involved as possible - this includes picking, pressing and tasting everything to do with brewing wild cider.

What you can expect from your Foraging Workshop:

  • a short introduction outlining foraging tips, ethics, etiquette and law
  • a short, circular walking route taking in different growing environments
  • a closer look at wild apples and similar species
  • tasters of various wild ciders. If it is particularly cold, we will enjoy mulled cider too!
  • the opportunity to create your own batch of wild cider - from foraging the apples to final fermentation and everything in between!
  • each course is run with in an informal fashion, where attendee questions and contributions are more than welcome
  • our foraging workshops can be tailored to suit certain mobility requirements. Please do get in touch in advance of buying your tickets to discuss this further.

Each attendee will also be given a discount code for a subscription of Forage Box - our monthly delivery service of wild food and drink.

Over 18s only. Attendees are encouraged to not drive to the workshop venue. Anyone suspected over being over the legal limit to drive will be challenged upon completion of the workshop and subsequent action may be taken to avoid any drink driving occurring.

Our courses are organised with your safety as the top priority, and will follow any current government rules or guidance in place at the time of the course. If the course has to be cancelled for any reason, including those that are COVID-related, a full refund will be issued to all ticket holders.
