A morning learning about wild food foraging

About this Event

The morning will be spent walking with Susan in the local area discovering and learning about the edible delights that can be found in our hedgerows during autumn.

Limited parking is available at Monxton village hall with additional road parking opposite.

Suitable outdoor clothes and shoes are essential as walking up to 3 miles and over rough terrain is required.

Is this course for me?

This course is designed for people who are interested in finding out more about wild food foraging. The course will cover the identification of native trees, shrubs and herbs.

Tutor

Susan Simmonds – Education Officer

Susan has a lifelong passion for wildlife and graduated in Environmental Science, she has worked and volunteered in the conservation sector for 20 years. Susan is a sessional lecturer at Sparsholt College on the Ecology and Conservation Management degree. Susan has a Certificate to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) and enjoys sharing her knowledge through leading courses such as wildflower species identification and mammal tracks and signs.
