Our annual nature photography competition is back!
You have until Friday 31st October to send in your entries for a chance to feature in the 2026 calendar.
We want to see how you connect with wildlife and nature and enjoy the wild spaces of Barking & Dagenham’s parks. The theme for this year’s #WildFreeLBBD competition is:
‘Undiscovered Treasures’
Think about:
Underrated wildlife that is often overlooked because it may be:
- Missed because of seasonality/short appearance timescale or nocturnal
- Overlooked, ignored or neglected due to small size
- Very common, so considered ‘boring’
- Has bad reputation or seen as a weed/pest
- Unseen or unnoticed because of camouflage making it ‘invisible’ or hidden in plain sight
