Description

THIS EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED BUT CLICK ON REGISTER TO JOIN THE WAITING LIST!

Stay up, stay out, and reconnect with nature for the longest evening of the year.

Unwind with a drink in one hand and a pen in the other to indulge your creativity in a spot of midsummer mindfulness. Join Kilter's Artistic Directors in the long grass of the young orchard at Bath City Farm and uncover the season's voices hidden in the trees through two hours of simple exercises, creative musing, and wild, free writing. It worked for Shakespeare. It'll work for you.

This workshop is part of Kilter's 5-year Bathscape commission to help local people creatively connect with their beautiful world-heritage landscape throughout the year. Voices, musings, and creative passages from this workshop may form part of A Midsummer Sunset: Campfire & Gentle Revelry at Bath City Farm on 29 June 2019.

Suitable for closet writers, wild thinkers, free spirits and the achingly constrained. The workshop is designed for 16+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

This workshop would normally cost £10+ but thanks to players of The National Lottery we are able to offer it for free!

What to bring

Bring a pen, a notebook and extra layers as June evenings can be a bit on the chilly side. Seating will be provided.

Refreshments

Refreshments will be provided, or feel free to bring a Thermos.

Getting here

Bath City Farm is easily accessible from Bath city centre. For travel and access information, see the Bath City Farm website. Where possible, we encourage travel on foot, by bike or by public transport.

The orchard is at the end of a steep slope, and we regret that it is not wheelchair accessible. There is step-free access to the main buildings, toilets, and the cafe shelter. Disabled parking spaces are available to Blue Badge holders, to the side of the main building. There is a disabled drop-off point in front of the main building.
