This event is running on both the Wednesday and Thursday of half term, please ensure you select the correct date.
Come and explore the reserve after dark and get involved with some spooky nature-themed activities to discover the creatures of the night!
Activities include:
Tin can bug hotel- upcycle your tin can to put out in your garden and create a home for invertebrates. *Bring your own tin can!*
Tin Can lanterns - Upcycle your tin can to make a lantern, bring a torch or battery powered T light to illuminate your creation. *Bring your own tin can!*
Owl pellet dissection - explore the curious diet of these beloved birds.
Torch lit Invertebrate hunting- see what invertebrates can be found by torch light.
Bat detecting: We will guide you through how to use a bat detector to listen out for the bats flying around.
Skulls and bones table: get up close and personal to find out which animal they belonged to.
All activities are included in your ticket.
The event is recommended for 6+ due to the time, it will be VERY dark between activities so please bring a torch!
This is an outdoor event so wrap up warm and dress for the weather.
Please ensure you arrive by 6.45pm - no entry after 7pm. Pease remember that the clocks change the weekend before this event. Event finishes at 8pm and we request that all visitors are off-site by 8.15pm.
