Let Your Imagination Run Wild, with Peter Bunzl, Kiran Millwood Hargrave & Ross Welford
Every book is a journey of discovery. Stories are how children and adults learn about our world, its history and its real and emotional geography. Here, three of the past year’s most exciting and acclaimed emerging authors for children aged 8-13, discuss their work, their influences and what drew them to children’s writing, with journalist and soon-to-be published children's author Anna James.
Peter Bunzl is the author of the acclaimed Cogheart (‘WONDERFUL…a blend of Philip Pullman, Joan Aiken and Katherine Rundell. Don’t miss!’ — Amanda Craig) and its recently-published sequel MoonLocket.
Kirin Millwood Hargrave just won the Waterstone's Children's Prize for the bestselling A Girl Of Ink and Stars (‘I loved it...gripping [and] beautifully written - Malorie Blackman’) and has just published The Island at the End of Everything.
Ross Welford is the author of the acclaimed debut hit Time Travelling With A Hamster and now What Not To Do If You Turn Invisible.
