Our day takes place at Ardoch Loch Lomond, a few miles from Balloch. Join fellow Members, Trust staff and trustees from around 10am over tea, coffee and pastries. The programme will include a talk by Steve Carver, Professor of rewilding and Wilderness Science at the University of Leeds, talks from the Trust team; and we will make the most of Ardoch Loch Lomond’s estate land with walking activities. Please bring outdoor clothing and footwear – including for inclement weather. A cold fork lunch will be provided. The day is expected to finish at around 4pm.
We’ll start at 10am with tea, coffee and pastries, a cold fork lunch is included, and activities finish at 4pm.
Outdoor talks and activities take place through the day and will include:
· Flora / fauna survey monitoring eg bird survey, foraging, tree identification
· Wellbeing in wild places walk
· Identifying threats to wild places eg hands-on removal of invasive species
· Unique and rare tree nursery
There will be a chance to participate in all activities.
