Who will be the guide?

Seb is a former head chef who has turned his hand to foraging. He has become a lead forager and teacher with Urban Forage and has a true passion for teaching about using the world around you not only as food but resources, materials and remedies too.

What should I wear?

Even in warm weather layers are advised, and please wear long sleeves and trousers to avoid stings/scratches. Wear enclosed shoes. flip flops/sandals are NOT suitable. Bring waterproofs if needed!

Will we stop for a rest?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we will have several stops, where you are welcome to sit and rest as we hear from our foraging guide along the way. Please bring a picnic mat or similar to sit on especially as ground is likely to be damp or wet.

How fast will we walk?

We will walk at a gentle pace of about 2 miles per hour

What level of fitness do I need?

The walks are various length this Local Loop walk is the shortest walk, if you are comfortable walking for two hours this walk should be manageable, there are a couple of spots with steep bits and  some paths can be uneven. If you are unsure please get in touch.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a picnic mat or similar to sit on, and a rucksack to carry anything else you might want (e.g. water, snacks, spare layers).

What should I wear in the colder months?

LOTS of layers are key on chillier days, along with hat/gloves/scarf and waterproofs.

I can only walk slowly/for short distances, will the session be suitable for me?
