Why is this donation based?

We run as a not-for-profit and aim to keep our costs as low as possible. Eventbrite supports donation based events by charging much lower fees which means we can offer lower prices as well.

Question 2

How many people will attend?

We keep our groups intentionally small and welcome a maximum of 16 people.  There is no minimum number for attending our events but we do ask that everyone books through Eventbrite and do not accept walk-ins.

Question 3

Is there parking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the site itself and on the road outside. We encourage lift shares where possible so just message us if you would like to offer or receive a lift.

Question 4

Is there public transport?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is a bus stop about 10 minutes walk away. We can send details upon booking. The nearest train station is Bradford on Avon and this has a taxi rank outside. It will take about 12 minutes in a taxi from the train station to arrive at the venue.

Question 5

How accessible is the venue?

There is a flat walk from the car park into the main area we will be using and the ground is laid to gravel.  The main woodland is on gradient and accessed via steps or a slope. If this is not an option for you, do call us as we have plenty of other nature connection spaces on flatter ground.

Question 6

What are the toilet and hand-washing facilities?

We have two compost toilets in the main area of the site by the car park and another 4 toilets in the woods. There is running water for hand washing throughout the site.

Is there drinking water?

Yes. We have drinking water on site.

Question 8

What if it is cold, wet and/or windy?

Accepted Answer

We have access to various shelters to protect us from the elements and a fire pit for warmth. However, we recommend that you bring warm and waterproof clothing for inclement weather and send out a suggested kit list. In case of high winds, we will cancel the event with at least 24 hours notice.

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

You are automatically entitled to a refund if we cancel, move or reschedule the event. We realise life is not always predictable so also offer a refund up to 24 hours before the event.

Is there food and drink?

Accepted Answer

We offer hot and cold drinks (including excellent coffee with non-dairy milk options) and a snack. You are welcome to bring your own food but we kindly ask that you do not bring nuts in case of allergies and that you take food and packaging away with you to help us look after the woodland.

Why can I only book one ticket at a time?

This is how eventbrite is set up which means you cannot book for more than one person at a time. Unfortunately people in the past have taken advantage of donation-based events on Eventbrite and block booked them without paying.

Question 12

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

We recommend wearing and bringing layers so you can stay comfortable in the heat / cold and adapt to changing conditions. We also recommend long trousers & tops to cover your arms and legs, appropriate footwear (not open-toe or high heel due) and hats, scarves and gloves as fitting with the weather.

Is there anything else I should bring?

Please remember to bring any medication for your allergies or additional medical needs with you to the event. We are not allowed to provide any prescription medication and may not have the over-the-counter medication needed.
