Join us at Stirley for an evening exploring the nature reserve foraging for delights amongst the hedgerows! Learn how to make delicious concoctions to spice up your hot drinks and cocktails this winter. Our enthusiastic staff will guide you through the process, sharing tips and tricks along the way. Don't miss this chance to get creative and warm up your winter days with homemade syrups! Grab your friends and come on down to Stirley for a sweet time!

Embrace your wild side - what to expect:

A ccessibility and terrain

Network of accessible footpaths throughout the reserve. Circular route to Castle Hill (with some road crossings) via public rights of way. Trail to Upper Park Wood which has magnificent bluebells in the spring.

The car park and Cre8 Barn are suitable for wheelchair access. Public rights of way around the reserve can often be steep with uneven or muddy ground.

What to bring/wear

This event takes place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! Sturdy footwear is always recommended

It is recommended to bring waterproof clothing and plenty of layers as well as a torch.

Toilets and catering

There are toilets, accessible toilets and a picnic area on site. Please feel free to bring food and drink with you, but please dispose of rubbish responsibly.

Parking

There is limited onsite parking available. The onsite car park is reserved for event attendees only. Visitors to the reserve are encouraged to park at Castle Hill (bright.places.tulip or HD4 6TA)

Cancellation and refunds

In the situation that Yorkshire Wildlife Trust needs to cancel an event we will be in touch regarding your booking via email and our Supporter Services team will process the refund of your tickets as soon as possible. Please allow up to 5 working days for this to happen. If you, or members of your party, are unable to attend your booked event, you are eligible for a refund up to 7 days before the event date. For any cancellation and refund queries, please contact our Supporter Services team during office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) on 01904 659570 or email supporter.services@ywt.org.uk.
