Wild Wolf Survival - Fire Craft
Mon 3 April 2017, 11:00 – 15:00 BST
This is the first of five core workshops you can take part in during this week - as part of the Wild Wolf Survival Course - so you can gain a nationally accredited level 1 award in Bushcraft.
You can attend the workshop without taking part in the work needed to gain the qualification.
On this workshop you will learn the principles and techniques of creating fire. Fire is essential to survival and it is one thing that gives us, as humans, an advantage over animals in a survival situation. Creating fire is a core survival skill because it is used for warmth, cooking and for boiling water to drink.
At the end of the workshop you will be able to name the main parts of a bow drill and show how they fit together.
