This sacred gathering is a time to honour the turning of the Wheel of the Year, celebrate the first harvest, and reconnect with the wild, untamed spirit within you.
What Awaits You
Forest Bathing (Shinrin-yoku): We’ll wander mindfully through the trees, awakening our senses, grounding our energy, and soaking in the wisdom of the earth. This meditative walk will leave you feeling deeply connected and renewed.
Journaling for Reflection: Through guided prompts, we will take a sacred pause to explore the themes of Lammas in our lives.
Harvest Gratitude Circle: Through guided reflection, journaling, and heart-centered conversation, we will honour what we’ve grown, achieved, or nurtured within ourselves.
Gratitude Stones Craft :Create a Gratitude Stone as a personal reminder of abundance and appreciation. Decorate it with words, symbols, or colors that reflect your gratitude, making it a meaningful memento of your journey.
Lammas Harvest Rituals: Celebrate the abundance and gratitude of Lammas with meaningful rituals that honour the connection to the natural cycles of growth and renewal.
Herbal Teas & Treats: Throughout the session, nourish your body with a loving selection of herbal teas and seasonal treats.
📍Location & Meeting Point: We’ll meet at the car park of Duddingston Kirk on Duddingston Road West (opposite Holy Rood High School). The car park entrance is just before the turnoff to Old Church Lane. From there, we’ll take a short walk to the nature reserve.
What to Wear:
Dress for the weather with comfortable layers, waterproof clothing, and sturdy walking boots for navigating forest trails.
What to bring: A thermos of tea, a cup, a journal, a pen, and any snacks you enjoy. You’re also welcome to bring songs, poems, or personal expressions to share.
