About this event

Health • Mental health

Throughout history women have been persecuted, silenced and marginalised if they dared to be different. During the burning times many of the women accused of witchcraft were simple medicine women. Herbalists and midwives were persecuted along with those who were financially independent or were deemed a threat to the patriarchal system. Sisters were forced to turn on sisters and women came to mistrust each other.

The witch wound is the deep, collective trauma inherited from generations of this oppression, resulting in feelings of fear, shame and self-doubt when expressing one’s authentic self, intuitive gifts, or spiritual beliefs or practices. In this workshop we will guide you on a journey of awareness, release, and empowerment, as we reconnect in sisterhood to reclaim what is rightfully ours.

Who Is This Workshop For?

This workshop welcomes anyone with whom the term “witch wound” resonates, whether through personal, ancestral, or collective experience. It is especially supportive for:

Individuals exploring spirituality, intuition, or alternative healing

Those who struggle with fear of judgement, visibility, or speaking their truth

People interested in ancestral healing and collective trauma

Anyone seeking empowerment and deeper self-acceptance

Workshop Structure

We will open our circle with an intention setting cacao ceremony and grounding meditation, we will share a brief history of the witch trials and history of the witch wound before moving on to reflective journalling prompts where we explore the ways the witch wound shows up (fear of being seen or speaking our truth, self-doubt, shame etc.) Optional confidential sharing circle followed by gentle somatic movement and guided visualisation to help release these wounds, rewrite our stories and reclaim our voices.
