This day is an excellent opportunity to see the wide variety of wildfowl that are passing through Rutland or arriving for winter. Previous highlights have included American Wigeon, Scaup, Eider and Great Northern Diver.
Using cars we will check likely sites around the reservoir and also walk out onto the reserve. Your guide for the day will be Terry Mitcham – a well respected birding expert who has written books and magazine columns and is the bird recorder for the local Natural History Society.
